My goals are

to use sophisticated language,
to structure my sentences correctly and
to use compound and complex sentences.

First two sentences

“The two men appeared out of nowhere, a few yards apart in the narrow, moonlit lane. For a second they stood quite still, wands directed at each other’s chests; then recognizing each other, they stowed their wands beneath their cloaks and started walking briskly in the same direction.”

Brief story line

Orientation- Harry Potter and his two best friends Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley are setting off on a task that Professor Dumbledore had left them, not at Hogwarts where their previous journeys have been but at all different locations, locations that they have never even imagined in their wildest dreams. The whole point of this journey is to find and destroy Lord Voldemort’s Hocruxes, which are stopping Harry from destroying Lord Voldemort once and for all.

Complication- Several times on the way Death Eaters came and tried to attack Harry and his friends. This meant they had to run away or sometimes even fight their way through their special task no matter how crazy or dangerous it was.

Resolution- Harry Potter finds and destroys all the Horcruxes and defeats Lord Voldemort once and for all.

Verbs in the book

Action- stowed P1, briskly P1

Saying- assure P11

Thinking- scorched P11
